Baseball Recap: White River Valley Comes Up Short

White River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 16-3 to the Clay City Eels. If the Wolverines were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Eels when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

White River Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Moreno, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

White River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Clay City, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. White River Valley will head out to challenge Shakamak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clay City, they will venture away from home to face off against West Vigo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Eels surely won't give up without a fight.
