Volleyball Recap: Christian Triumphs

The Christian Eagles were able to grind out a solid victory over the Kalamazoo Christian Comets on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 25-13, 28-26.

Grace Goodyke paced Christian's offense, picking up 17 kills. Goodyke got some help from Piper Cebulski and her 33 assists. Rylee Anderson and Elise Renz kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Kalamazoo Christian, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian will take on Holland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Kalamazoo Christian and Vicksburg will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Comets surely won't give up without a fight.
