Recap: Palm Valley FIREBIRDS vs. Joshua Springs Christian Lightning
Make it five blowout wins for the Palm Valley FIREBIRDS this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Joshua Springs Christian 76-13 at home. With Palm Valley ahead 46-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Palm Valley was led to victory by Donovan Knott and Matteo Lam. Knott scored 23 points along with five steals, while Lam scored 22 points along with eight steals and seven assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knott has scored all season. Arsh Rehman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Palm Valley pushed their record up to 9-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Joshua Springs Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Weaver the next time they take the court. Palm Valley will head out to face Weaver at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Joshua Springs Christian will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
