Palisade has gone a perfect 3-0 against Pagosa Springs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Pirates at 12:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Friday, Palisade came up short against Village and fell 3-1.
While Palisade ultimately came up short, they really made Village work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17, 17-25, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Palisade had strong showings from Lauren McClary, who had 13 assists and six digs, and Tiana Padilla, who had four aces. McClary has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played. Violet Welker also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.
Meanwhile, Pagosa Springs lost 3-0 to Bayfield on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost five in a row.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.
Palisade's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Pagosa Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
Palisade beat Pagosa Springs 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
