Softball Recap: SA S Extends Winning Streak to Four

SA S put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Leakey Eagles as SA S made off with a 12-4 victory. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.

Reagan Mullaley was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was M Zinsmeyer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.

Mullaley wasn't the only one working in the hit department: SA S kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

SA S' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Leakey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. SA S will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Moulton at 12:00 p.m. on April 26. As for Leakey, they will challenge Medina at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Leakey's pitchers better be ready for this one: Medina has averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
