Baseball Game Preview: St. David's Warriors vs. Coastal Christian Centurions

St. David is 0-3 against Coastal Christian since March of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Centurions at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

St. David's made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Wake Christian Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-1 two weeks ago. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. David's saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adkins Allen, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Coastal Christian scored first but ultimately less than Wilmington Christian Academy in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 8-1 to the Patriots.

Carver Cole was cooking despite his team's loss, earning one run and four stolen bases. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.

St. David's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Coastal Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.

St. David's might still be hurting after the 19-6 loss they got from Coastal Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2020. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
