Basketball Game Preview: Indian Creek Redskins vs. Bellaire Big Reds

The Indian Creek Redskins are taking a road trip to square off against the Bellaire Big Reds at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Indian Creek is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Weir: they outscored them in every quarter. Indian Creek strolled past Weir with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 40-23. The Redskins didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Meanwhile, Bellaire made easy work of John Marshall on Tuesday and carried off a 63-43 victory.

Indian Creek better focus on containing Raekwon Pettigrew and Caleb Jewell as the pair were huge in Bellaire's win. Pettigrew went 9 for 13 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds, while Jewell went 9 of 22 en route to 19 points and five boards. Keegan Davis was another key player, putting up four points.

Bellaire is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Indian Creek, their record now sits at 5-10.

Indian Creek didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bellaire in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win.
