Westminster School is 2-8 against Avon Old Farms since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Martlets will venture away from home to challenge the Beavers at 2:30 p.m. Westminster School is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.

While Westminster School's victory against Trinity-Pawling School wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Martlets narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Pride 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Martlets have posted against the Pride since April 30, 2022.

Westminster School saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Shea, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Avon Old Farms waltzed into their contest on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Big Red as they made off with a 9-2 win. Considering the Beavers have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Westminster School has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Avon Old Farms, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
