Oviedo is 5-0 against Freedom since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Oviedo Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Freedom Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Friday, Oviedo had to suffer through a 53-7 loss at the hands of Ocoee. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Freedom came up short against Tohopekaliga on Friday and fell 28-21. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Tigers are ranked 234th).

Freedom has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Oviedo, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything came up roses for Oviedo against Freedom when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 50-20 win. Will Oviedo repeat their success, or does Freedom have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
