Baseball Game Preview: Dymally Challengers vs. Hawkins Hawks

After both having extra time off, the Dymally Challengers and the Hawkins Hawks will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Hawkins took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dymally, who comes in off a win.

Dymally was handed a 15-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene last Wednesday. They never let View Park get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Challengers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Hawkins came up short against Crenshaw last Wednesday and fell 11-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.

JOSHUA MARTINEZ made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dennis Gurrola, who went 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.

The win got Dymally back to even at 2-2. As for Hawkins, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
