It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Kearney ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 73-70 win over the Lincoln Southeast Knights. The victory was just business as usual for the Bearcats, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Kearney was led to victory by Ben Johnson and Jacob Webber. Johnson dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Webber posted 29 points and eight rebounds. The match was Webber's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Kracl, who had 11 points and eight rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln Southeast lost, don't look at Mike Ngoyi. Despite the final result, he went 15 of 30 on his way to 38 points. The dominant performance gave Ngoyi a new career-high in points. Gavin Kubik was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Kearney's record is now 3-0. As for Lincoln Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
