Basketball Recap: San Luis Comes Up Short

San Luis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through an 82-39 loss at the hands of the Poston Butte Broncos.

Dutch Martinez Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Poston Butte, shooting 6-for-8 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double with 34 points and nine boards. Martinez Jr is becoming a predictor of Poston Butte's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is undefeated (and 7-15 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Naji McLemore, who went 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points.

San Luis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Poston Butte, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-15.

As of now, neither San Luis nor Poston Butte have any future games scheduled.
