Baseball Recap: Elkmont Victorious

Elkmont took a 11-run loss the last time they faced off against West Limestone, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Elkmont Red Devils came out on top in a nail-biter against the West Limestone Wildcats on Thursday, sneaking past 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Red Devils: when they faced off against the Wildcats last Saturday, they had to take a 11-0 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Jake Guthrie, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Braidyn Amick was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Elkmont now has a winning record of 6-5. As for West Limestone, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-7.
