Franklin County and Ringgold squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Franklin County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Avery Burton paced Franklin County's offense, picking up 31 kills. Burton got some help from Kallie Thrift and her 30 assists. Burton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Sadie Pritchard, who had three digs and two aces.

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 28-15. As for Ringgold, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-11 record this season.

Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ringgold, they will challenge Morgan County at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
