Recap: Willow Spring Storm vs. Apex Cougars
After losing to the Apex Cougars the last time they met, the Willow Spring Storm decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Willow Spring strolled past Apex with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 56-39.
Brandon Solomon was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Graham Moose, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaden Maynard, who scored 10 points. Vaibhav Dandala was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 4 steals.
Willow Spring now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Apex, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Willow Spring will be playing in front of their home fans against Holly Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Apex, they will head out on the road to face off against Fuquay - Varina at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
