Baseball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

If Franklin was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Finney Falcons by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Jonael Maldonado was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Finney, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
