Football Game Preview: Walnut Grove Warriors vs. Madison County Red Raiders + Official Tickets

The Walnut Grove Warriors will head out to take on the Madison County Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walnut Grove is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Walnut Grove's last matchup with Flowery Branch could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Warriors lost 49-28 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Falcons are ranked 102nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison County). They blew past Cedar Shoals 42-7 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Walnut Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Madison County, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3.

Walnut Grove lost to Madison County on the road by a decisive 21-6 margin in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
