Baseball Recap: Chatham Central Comes Up Short

Chatham Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Seaforth Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 last Tuesday.

Chatham Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Phillips, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Phillips hit this season.

Chatham Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Seaforth, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham Central will welcome Eastern Randolph at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Chatham Central's pitchers better be ready for this one: Eastern Randolph has averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Seaforth, they will challenge Northwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Seaforth surely won't give up without a fight.
