Messiah Mickens Dazzles in Harrisburg Win

Starting off the list is Harrisburg's Messiah Mickens, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mickens rushed for 151 yards on only ten carries. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

The victory (which was Harrisburg's third in a row) raised their record to 9-2. Mickens and Harrisburg are taking a road trip to take on Manheim Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Stone Saunders stepped things up a notch to give Bishop McDevitt the 'W'. Nobody could stop Saunders as he threw for 304 yards and five touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes.

On the year, Saunders has thrown 39 touchdowns (and and only 7 picks) while averaging 231.4 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after 12 games last season, he was only averaging 1.42 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 9.25 rushing yards.

State College Wins Eighth-Straight Thanks to Ty Salazer

Ty Salazer's big game helped extend State College's winning streak to eight on Friday. Nobody could stop Salazer as he picked up 274 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 78 yards.

If the past is any indication, Salazer could be in store for another big game when he takes on Williamsport on Friday. Back in August of 2023 (the last time Salazer saw the Millionaires), he picked up 139 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Jontai Quick Delivers Best Effort of Season

Jontai Quick produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Bishop McDevitt to the win on Friday. Quick picked up 167 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 69 yards.

This year, Quick has caught 12 touchdowns while averaging 77.6 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after 12 games last season, he was only averaging 29.75 receiving yards per game.

Big Game from Corkery As State College Won 35-7

Eddie Corkery's big game helped extend State College's winning streak to eight on Friday. Corkery did his part (and then some), throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes for the 'W'. He has been hot , having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played.

Corkery and State College will head out on the road to square off against Williamsport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Corkery took on the Millionaires, he threw for 188 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
