Malcolm suffered their biggest defeat since March 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Syracuse Rockets, falling 55-35. The Clippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Malcolm lost, don't look at Carson Frank. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Frank a new career-high in rebounds.

Malcolm's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-10. As for Syracuse, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Malcolm does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Syracuse, they will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Lincoln Lutheran sitting on four straight victories and Syracuse on three.
