Volleyball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton was the 3-0 winner over Southwest Onslow when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Dark Horses took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stallions on Tuesday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Southwest Onslow scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 25-23, 25-17.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Southwest Onslow, they moved to 11-9 with that win, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Clinton will face off against Roanoke Rapids at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southwest Onslow, they will head out to take on Washington at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
