The Cascade Cadets will challenge the Indian Creek Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Cascade has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Saturday, Cascade needed a bit of extra time to put away North Putnam. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Cougars 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Toby Savini, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cort Hubner was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Indian Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Tri-West Hendricks on Saturday and fell 4-3.
Zach Bartle was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over 7.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk).
On the hitting side, Elijah Guyer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Talan Steinway, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Cascade, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Cascade has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. However, it's not like Indian Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .453. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cascade couldn't quite finish off Indian Creek in their previous matchup back in May of 2019 and fell 5-3. Can the Cadets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
