After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, Carroll finally came back down to earth on Friday. They fell 7-2 to the Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Eagles. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Carroll saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Kaeleigh Mendez was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial, their victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-2.

Coincidentally, Carroll and Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will both be playing Miller the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
