Baseball Recap: Alcoa Beats Loudon for Their Third Straight Victory

Alcoa had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Loudon Redskins. For the Tornadoes, this counts as revenge for the 1-0 victory the Redskins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Parker Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alcoa let Kyler Clark and Myles Cox run wild. Clark scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Cox scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Alcoa's record is now 9-2. As for Loudon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Alcoa will be playing at home against Pigeon Forge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Loudon, they will head out on the road to challenge Northview Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
