Basketball Recap: Saniya Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crestwood over Darlington

Crestwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 55-47 to the Darlington Falcons. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 67-51.

Crestwood lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Saniya Williams, who posted 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Javiah Martin, who scored 14 points and three steals.

Crestwood's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Darlington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Coming up, Crestwood will challenge Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Darlington, they will take on Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
