Baseball Game Preview: Northeastern Eagles vs. First Flight Nighthawks

Northeastern hasn't had much luck against First Flight recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Nighthawks at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Northeastern lost 12-1 to Currituck County on Thursday.

Meanwhile, First Flight fell victim to Martin County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Gators, falling 12-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Nighthawks have suffered since May 1, 2025.

First Flight saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fionn Reilly, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

First Flight's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Northeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Northeastern might still be hurting after the 15-6 loss they got from First Flight in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
