Cienega extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Gabe Buksh. The Cienega Bobcats simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Desert View Jaguars 71-41 thanks in part to Buksh, who went 8 of 13 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Thomas Noyes was another key player, going 5 for 6 en route to 13 points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last 14 games he's played.

Desert View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Juju Gonzalez, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Nino Sanchez, who had ten points.

Cienega pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Desert View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season.

Looking ahead, Cienega will take on Pueblo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cienega knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 games -- so hopefully Pueblo likes a good challenge. As for Desert View, they will face off against Buena at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Buena has three straight victories, Desert View has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
