Softball Recap: Wingate Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wingate can now relate to. They lost 17-3 to the Tularosa Wildcats on Wednesday. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 19-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wingate moved to 14-11 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Tularosa, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 17-10 record.

While Wingate had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
