 The Gateway Charter Griffins will look to defend their home field  on Monday against the Glades Central Raiders at 4:00  p.m. Gateway Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.4  runs per game  this season.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Gateway Charter gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Wednesday. They never let Moore Haven onto the board and left with  a   14-0  win. The  victory was some much needed relief for Gateway Charter as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
  Julian Arbolaez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched.  In other batting news,  Jack Anastasio was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  JT Wheaton, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases.
 Meanwhile, Glades Central was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight  defeat. Their  tough  19-8 loss to Westwood  might stick with them for a while.
  Juan Mojica was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing six bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Anthony Leon, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Gateway Charter's win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 9-12. As for Glades Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
 Monday's   game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Gateway Charter has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Glades Central struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .469. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
