West Wendover is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Silver Stage 59-17. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-7.

Anaya Hernandez had a dynamite game, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 27 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Savannah Jimenez, who posted 15 points and five steals.
West Wendover smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Pershing County hadn't done well against North Tahoe recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mustangs blew past the Lakers 47-24. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.
West Wendover better keep an eye on Riley Harvey. She was instrumental in Pershing County's win, shooting 56% from the field to rack up 23 points and eight steals. That's the most points Harvey has posted since back in December of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Cerini, who put up 13 points and three steals.
West Wendover's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Pershing County, their victory bumped their record up to 21-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: West Wendover has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27 boards per game. However, it's not like Pershing County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
