Baseball Recap: East Hamilton Comes Up Short

If East Hamilton was feeling good fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Marion County on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The East Hamilton Hurricanes fell just short of the Marion County Warriors by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The Hurricanes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 8-1.

East Hamilton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Huskey, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

East Hamilton's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Marion County, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

East Hamilton has already played their next match, a 5-4 victory against Whitwell on the 6th. As for Marion County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences on the 10th.
