Football Recap: Glenbard East Skates Past Elmwood Park with Ease + How To Watch

Glenbard East got themselves on the board against Elmwood Park on Friday, but Elmwood Park never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 49-0. That looming 49-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rams yet this season.

Leading Glenbard East to victory were Michael Nee and Kedrick Dennis. Nee threw for 117 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, while Dennis rushed for 55 yards and one TD.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 25 in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Mike Orive, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Montii Perry.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Glenbard East's defense and their 3.5 sacks. Evan Reichert refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

The win made it two in a row for Glenbard East and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points over those games. As for Elmwood Park, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenbard East will square off against Ridgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.5 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Elmwood Park, they will challenge Glenbard South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
