Softball Recap: Orange Cove Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Orange Cove's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Ridgeview Wolf Pack. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

Daisy Regalado made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. Regalado was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Ashley Garcia was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Allyanah Cano, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Orange Cove was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Orange Cove has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Ridgeview, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12-1.

Coming up, Orange Cove will take on McLane in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Ridgeview, they will head out to take on Stockdale at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Wolf Pack's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
