Baseball Game Preview: Madill Wildcats vs. Plainview Indians

For the second straight game, Madill will face off against Plainview. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to take on the Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madill hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Madill managed to slip by Plainview the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildcats lost 18-1 to the Indians on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered against the Indians since March 26, 2019.

For Plainview's part, Cooper Flowers made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Flowers has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brylan Anderson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Plainview is 4-2 when Anderson posts two or more runs, but 1-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Dane Dickerson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Madill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Plainview, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
