Basketball Recap: Ezra Jackson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Central over Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 63-55 to the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 70-67.

Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ezra Jackson, who posted 20 points. Jackson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Taylor ll, who scored 15 points.

Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South had a senior duo take command as Jordan Exton had 25 points and Jayden Webster put up 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for Exton. Another player making a difference was Cayden Winstead, who earned eight points.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, their record is now 7-9.

Central has already played their next match (against Largo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, they have already played their next game, a 73-27 victory against College Park Academy on the 20th.
