Soccer Recap: Fort Myers Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fort Myers can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the Jesuit Tigers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Tigers are ranked fifth).

Fort Myers now has a losing record at 9-10-4. As for Jesuit, their win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2-1.

Fort Myers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jesuit, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against Braden River on the 7th.
