Soccer Game Preview: Sequoyah vs. Hillgrove

The Sequoyah Chiefs will take on the Hillgrove Hawks at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Sequoyah after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Cherokee who was credited with the victory. Cherokee got it done in the shootout by posting one goals to Sequoyah's zero.

Sequoyah's goal came courtesy of Tara Zaccagnino, who's now up to two this season.

Hillgrove is leaving town to face Sequoyah after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Hillgrove fell just short of Walton by a score of 2-1 last Tuesday.

Sequoyah might still be hurting after the 5-2 defeat they got from Hillgrove when the teams last played back in February of 2016. Can Sequoyah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
