Softball Recap: Mountainside Mavericks vs. Beaverton Beavers

After only one run in their last match, Mountainside made sure to put some runs up on the board against Beaverton on Friday. The Mavericks had just enough and edged out the Beavers 11-9. The win continues a trend for the Mavericks in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now won nine in a row.

Jojo Appling made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
