Recap: Hedley Owls vs. Accelerate Christian Warriors
On Saturday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Hedley had to settle for a 49-47 defeat against Accelerate Christian.
Accelerate Christian can attribute much of their success to Ashton Miller, who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for Miller. Landon Myers was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Hedley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Accelerate Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-8.
Hedley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Miami at 7:30 p.m. Miami presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hedley in Texas (Miami is ranked 332nd, while Hedley is ranked 1567th). As for Accelerate Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Claude at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
