Football Game Preview: Greenville Lions vs. Terrell Tigers + How To Watch

The Greenville Lions will square off against the Terrell Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenville has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with ten straight defeats, while Terrell will come in with seven straight victories.

Greenville managed to slip by Corsicana the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 38-14 to the Tigers on Friday. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-7.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Terrell took on Ennis on Friday. The Tigers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 61-28 win over the Lions. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Greenville better keep an eye on RODERICK HAMBRICK JR.. He was instrumental in Terrell's win, rushing for 202 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries. With that strong performance, HAMBRICK JR. is now averaging an impressive 112.1 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was JULIAN ASHLEY, who rushed for 109 yards and two TDs on only eight carries.

Terrell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 444 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 248 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Terrell, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of ASHLEY, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Terrell's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Greenville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Greenville was taken down by Terrell 56-7 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lions were down 28-7.
