Soccer Recap: Bloomington Plays to a Tie

For the first time this season, Bloomington was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor the Yucaipa Thunderbirds could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The outcome might've been different if Carlos Pascual hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Bloomington's goal came courtesy of Andres Diaz, who's now up to two this season.

With that draw, Bloomington's record moves to 2-1-1. Meanwhile, Yucaipa's record is now 0-1-3.

Bloomington will challenge Canyon Springs at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season. As for Yucaipa, they will take on Colton at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Yucaipa's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
