University School of Jackson is a perfect 7-0 against Trinity Christian Academy since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. University School of Jackson let Laura Kate Prater and Haylen Ayers run wild. Prater went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Ayers went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Ayers a new career-high. Kinsley Brady also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

University School of Jackson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Trinity Christian Academy's offense. They came up short against Jackson Christian on Tuesday, falling 12-0. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

University School of Jackson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Trinity Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Trinity Christian Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: University School of Jackson has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Trinity Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given University School of Jackson's sizable advantage in that area, the Lions will need to find a way to close that gap.

University School of Jackson took their win against Trinity Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
