After a string of three wins, Superior Central's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Bark River-Harris Broncos by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Isaac Rondeau was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Rondeau wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaykob Dahm, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Superior Central now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Bark River-Harris, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Superior Central will take on North Dickinson at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bark River-Harris, they will face off against Norway at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
