Volleyball Recap: Smoky Mountain Comes Up Short

Smoky Mountain lost against West Henderson back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Falcons. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-19.

West Henderson was led to victory by Maddie Pryor and Joelie Humiston. Pryor had 16 digs, while Humiston had 11 digs and two assists. Those 16 digs gave Pryor a new career-high. Claire Conroy also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Smoky Mountain now has a losing record of 4-5. As for West Henderson, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Smoky Mountain has already played their next game (against Robbinsville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West Henderson, they will face off against North Henderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
