Saluda waltzed into their game on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They put the hurt on the Westwood Redhawks with a sharp 13-7 victory. Considering the Tigers have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Ava Martin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Amy Sorcia, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Saluda always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westwood only posted an OBP of .400.

Saluda's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Westwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Saluda Tigers challenge Batesburg-Leesville Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saluda is facing Batesburg-Leesville at the right time seeing as Batesburg-Leesville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Westwood, they will host Spring Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spring Valley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16 runs per game on average), something Westwood will no doubt try to take advantage of.
