Preview: Overbrook Rams vs. Lindenwold Lions
Overbrook has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Lindenwold Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Overbrook is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lindenwold in New Jersey (Overbrook is ranked 98th, while Lindenwold is ranked 340th).
Overbrook fought the good fight in their overtime match against Burlington Township on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 49-41 to the Falcons. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Overbrook has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Lindenwold also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Haddon Heights by a score of 67-54.
Overbrook's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Lindenwold, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Overbrook couldn't quite finish off Lindenwold in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 and fell 69-66. Can Overbrook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
