Brookside and Firelands are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Brookside Cardinals just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Firelands Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Brookside's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.

Brookside is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Wellington: they outscored them in every quarter. Brookside blew past Wellington 87-62 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Dukes: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Firelands had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 67-47 win. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Brookside's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Firelands, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Brookside was able to grind out a solid victory over Firelands in their previous meeting back in January, winning 95-88. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
