Baseball Recap: Bosque Comes Up Short

Bosque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 11-2 to the Portales Rams.

Tas Lupo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Adan Mulkey also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Bosque's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Portales, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.

Coming up, Bosque will be taking part in a tournament against Pecos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Portales, their road trip will continue as they head out to face St. Michael's at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Horsemen have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
