Volleyball Recap: Cabrillo Comes Up Short

Cabrillo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Compton Tarbabes. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tarbabes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Cabrillo was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-15.

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Compton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cabrillo will square off against rival Jordan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Compton is set to take on their familiar foe Long Beach Poly at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
