Softball Recap: Creekview Triumphs

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Creekview and The Colony, and Creekview kept the tradition alive. The Mustangs came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 10-7 on Friday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 8-1 victory on Tuesday.

Kelis Lee made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Lee was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, MacKenzie Martin was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Malory Martin, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Creekview lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Creekview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season. As for The Colony, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.

As of now, neither Creekview nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
